"Small Beginnings"

Small beginnings. It's easy to become discouraged when beginnings seem to be of little consequence, or when they seem to drag on and on. Small beginnings pretty much always come with hard work, limited budgets, and lots of setbacks.

But God has no fear of small beginnings - it's where He does His best work. After three years of work by Jesus Himself, in which He preached to thousands, performed amazing miracles, and was the most talked about person in Israel, the Church consisted of only 120 people. And, who can forget that it all began with a baby born in a cave?

So, let us not be discouraged because our church may not seem to compare with other churches. I am convinced that The Lord has not forgotten us. He is leading us, and we are following as best we can. I believe we are right where He wants us to be so that His plans and purposes will be accomplished.

What lies ahead for Tammany Oaks in 2022? Here's the best I can do at predicting the future: There will be joys and sorrows - some of which we will anticipate, others of which will take us by surprise. This much we know - The Lord will be there, holding us up; and our faith family will be there to rejoice and weep with us. I can live with that.
