(Romans 15:7 NRSV)Welcome is an important word to the members of the Tammany Oaks Church of Christ. Welcome is a hospitality word that implies receiving those we don’t know yet. Christian hospitality is about receiving people the way Jesus does and with that in mind, we welcome you to our website.
Our primary purpose is to live out the story of God in our lives. Consequently, God’s story is, for us, our primary story, our organizing story. This story is first told in the Bible where we read of a God who has always been calling and forming people to live “God-shaped” lives who will make a difference in our world.
Tammany Oaks seeks to be nothing more than an extension of God's story. As such, we see ourselves as a group of people God has commissioned to live His life for the sake of the world. So we welcome you to God’s story and invite you to experience that story with us.
