Renee Ramsey's Viewing and Visitation

  • Tammany Oaks Church Of Christ 3700 Louisiana 59 Mandeville, LA, 70471 United States (map)

Karyn Renee Ramsey, age 59, of Mandeville, Louisiana, went home to the Lord on Friday morning, January 21, 2022. She was born in Ville Platte, Louisiana on March 28, 1962 to Jackie Lee Whittington and Wanda Lee Powers Whittington.

Renee is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Ambrose Knox Ramsey III and their precious son, Ambrose IV; and mother, Wanda Powers Whittington. She is also survived by her sister, Cindy Whittington Allen (John); brother, Eric Whittington (Pam); sisters-in-law, Mary Margaret Helton (Jerry), Pat Sue McReynolds; and brothers-in-law, Mack Ramsey (Judy), John Ramsey (Rosemary) and Charlie Ramsey. She is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews. Renee was preceded in death by her father, Jackie, and brother-in-law, Timmy McReynolds.

Renee was a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and longtime resident of Mandeville, Louisiana for over 30 years. She is a graduate of Belaire High School and of LSU, with a degree in accounting.

Renee found fulfillment in her family and in serving the Lord, which she did with joy and dedication. Her loving and giving nature was most evident in the way she cared and provided for her son - she always had a smile on her face and a song on her lips for him. She cherished her friends, and loved having a crowd of them in her home for parties. She sang with the Praise Team at church, and her alto voice will be missed. She was always active in the lives of others, seeing needs and finding ways to respond. Renee will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider contributions in memory of Renee to Camp Smiling Acres, c/o Scottie Lee, 650 Dentation Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70808.
