Preparing for Wednesday night's online class on Jonah [7:00 PM on The Tammany Oaks Church of Christ Facebook page]. In response to Jonah's prediction of doom, the pagan king of Nineveh calls on his people to repent, fast and pray. I wonder which of these things he thought was the most important? Often in their history, God's "Chosen People" figured that getting the externals of worship "right" was all that mattered. The prophets repeatedly told them, "No - get your heart right first". I believe the ancient king of Nineveh figured this out. Have we, the modern "People of God", figured it out too?
