Preparing for tonight’s class on Jonah. When God told him to do something, Jonah said, “No”, and jumped in a boat to get away. “How awful”, I think, sitting comfortably in my office at the Church building. As a preacher, I am obviously doing exactly what God has called me to do - as long as He doesn’t call me to actually speak to my neighbors about Jesus. Oh wait. Maybe the truth is I am sitting in the boat with Jonah. How awful.
