Preparing for tonight’s class on Romans. The Apostle Paul hits us with the troubling phrase, “offer your bodies as a living sacrifice”. It’s troubling because it isn’t a one-time offering, and because it asks for much more than just money. as others have noted, the problem with “living sacrifices” is that we tend to crawl off the altar. And I’ll keep on crawling off until I love both The Lord and my neighbor correctly.
